Come Together Gala is Voted One of the Best Fundraising Events in McHenry County!
Main Stay was voted for having “One of the Best Fundraising Events by a Non-Profit” in McHenry County Best of the Fox Reader’s Choice Awards. Main Stay’s gala, “Come Together”, was held on June 23, 2022 and brought members of the community to the farm to celebrate Main Stay’s 35th anniversary.
“Come Together” raised more than $150,000, a record breaking event for Main Stay.
The sold-out fundraising event took place on Main Stay’s 40-acre farm which is in a protected easement with The Land Conservancy of McHenry County. Guests enjoyed an evening of food and spirits, as they immersed themselves in the summer time scenery of Main Stay’s oak savannah and views of Glacial Park.
The night also had live entertainment, a silent auction, paddle raise, and wine pull.
Drawing for the Main Stay Triple Crown Raffle also took place.
The evening officially ended with Travis, an adaptive rider, pulling the winning name from the raffle drum. One lucky guest won a Hawaiian getaway, which included:
- A 7-nights stay at Waikiki Shores in Honolulu, Hawaii;
- Airfare for two;
- Ground Transportation to and from the airport;
- And a $1,000 spending card.
