See Me, For Me: Travis

See Me, For Me: Travis

If there is one thing Travis wishes people knew about him it’s how much he loves animals. Although, this should come as no surprise if you have ever seen him around the farm. When Travis interacts with Main Stay’s horses and animals, he is gentle, kind and wants to help care for them in any way he can.

However, there is one thing about Travis that may not be so apparent – he is a force of determination both in and out of the arena.

Travis came to Main Stay in 2020 as a student in our Animal Assisted Learning program. While at the farm, Travis became enthralled with Main Stay’s Adaptive Riding Program. He was determined to participate in the riding program and set his mind to achieving this goal, which he did last year. Travis not only rides, he has also learned how to play guitar and has joined the Wonder Lake Water Ski Team. If all that wasn’t enough, he’s also an intern through Project SEARCH, an organization that prepares young people with disabilities for competitive employment opportunities.

According to Travis, if he could have any superhero power it would be super speed because he likes to be fast. With a heart full of kindness and determination, Travis clearly is not letting anything slow him down. Learn more about Travis below!
