About Rider Biomechanics Workshop
Suzanne Galdun will be returning to Main Stay to share her knowledge and expertise to help both you and the riders you work with. If you feel like you are not making progress or advancing in your own riding or are struggling with riders that are stuck on a plateau this workshop is for you! With correct biomechanics, riders of all ability levels have been able to ride with reduced pain, less anxiety, and increased ”feel”.
This day and a half workshop will have “the best of both worlds” including:
- 60-minute semi-private lessons focused on assessing and improving your riding. Suzanne utilizes clear and “sensory specific” terminology to address areas in your body that will enhance communication with your horse.
- Review common diagnoses seen in Adaptive Riding and observe Suzanne working with Adaptive Riding clients who could benefit from postural alignment exercises including warm up and cool down activities. If time permits, case studies and problem solving through a video review of adaptive riding clients will be included.
- Practice and discuss how to assist your clients with basic horsemanship skills such as reining and being in better alignment with their horse.
- Learn ground work exercises that help teach the horse to find correct posture in their own body.
