Main Stay’s clients benefit greatly from our equine and animal assisted services. Our programs help individuals gain physical strength, improve their communication skills, and foster a positive mindset. In addition to these tangible outcomes, Main Stay offers a sense of community, shared experiences and friendship, creating a space where clients can build meaningful relationships and know they aren’t alone.

Your generosity allows these essential services to continue to grow and maintain a thriving community for all who come to the farm.

Main Stay is a 501(c)3 organization. Main Stay does not receive any state or federal funding. The fees we charge cover less than 20% of our program costs and financial assistance is available to those who qualify. Community support is our most valuable funding resource allowing us to keep program fees affordable for our clients.

Horse Donation
Our horses are the back bone of the adaptive riding and horsemanship program and it takes a very special horse to make it as part of the Main Stay team. Our needs fluctuate depending on the current herd as we require a wide variety of different sizes and builds for our clients.

In general, our horses are 16 hands or less, between the ages of 6 years old through 18 years old, well-trained and safe under saddle, have smooth gaits, possess good ground manners, are tolerant, confident and sound in mind and body. If you think your horse might be a good candidate, please complete the form below and our Equine Manager, Roxie, will contact you. Thank you for thinking of Main Stay!

Tack Donation
Main Stay’s horses and riders come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and we use a wide variety of tack. Our riders’ safety and our horses comfort are our top priorities.  Main Stay welcomes donations of safe, clean, good quality tack.  If we are unable to use your tack, we will resell it to help fund other tack items.  Please contact our Equine Manager, Roxie, if you have a tack donation.
