Meet Kelly, A Young Student With a Heart of Gold!
When she participated in her school’s “Made by Me Market,” selling handmade bracelets that she and her mom made, Kelly knew she wanted to do more than just sell them for profit. She decided to donate her earnings to Main Stay Therapeutic Farm.
“I love all the animals there, and Main Stay always helps everyone who has a chance to ride or visit the farm. I know how important it is to my grandma, Cathy, and I wanted to help keep it growing,” says Kelly. Her grandma, Cathy, is a Main Stay volunteer and was just recently awarded the 2023 Region 7 Volunteer of the Year Award from PATH. Intl.
This isn’t the first time Kelly has made a difference for a good cause though. She previously helped her grandpa raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities during the Chicago Marathon.
Kelly’s story is a shining example of the power we all have to make a positive difference, and reminds us that even the smallest act can make a significant impact.
