Main Stay’s farmhouse-style facility with green trim, garden beds, and a covered entrance.

Watch Main Stay Live on CBS Morning News Chicago!

On Thursday, April 24th, Jackie Kostek from CBS 2 Chicago will spotlight the partnership between Main Stay and Meridian Health for her “Jumpstart with Jackie” segment, which features businesses and events in the Chicagoland area. While at the farm, Jackie will meet the “littles,” spend time in the garden, brush, and ride one of our adaptive riding horses.

We’ll be sharing the incredible benefits of all programs at the farm—adaptive riding, equine and animal-assisted learning, and gardening—and how our special animals and beautiful land impact the lives of Meridian’s clients and everyone who comes to the farm. Main Stay received two grants from Meridian Health to bring Equine and Animal Assisted Learning programs to their youth and senior clients and gather data on how animal-assisted learning improves mental health.

Plan to wake up early that day, as the live broadcast starts at 6:45 a.m. on the Chicago station! CBS will stream the other segments throughout the day.
