About the Workshop

Improve your position in the saddle and help your riders’ posture during their adaptive riding lessons. Learn the “how” of riding effectively and improve the human/horse partnership. Balanced riding benefits both riders and horses and is fundamental for all ability levels, including instructors and clients.

This day and a half workshop will include “the best of both worlds” including:

  • 60-minute semi-private lessons focused on assessing and improving your riding
  • Honing your observational skills by being an “active observer” during other participants’ lessons
  • Time in the arena reviewing how instructors and volunteers can assist riders with their posture
  • Discussing how horse and tack selection impacts riders posture and alignment
  • Case studies and problem solving through video review of adaptive riding clients
