For ages 13 & up (kids welcome with an adult)

In this workshop you will learn practical, easy-to-follow techniques and get hands-on experience starting your own seeds. Each participant will take home their newly planted seeds — perfect for kicking off your spring garden with confidence!

What we will cover:

  • Essential materials for starting your spring garden
  • Seed starting indoors
    • How to start indoor seeds
    • How to check if your seeds will germinate
    • Winter sowing techniques
    • Hardening off new seedlings
  • Preparing your beds: in-ground vs. raised beds, and no-till options
  • Garden planning basics
    • Companion planting
    • Choosing the right plants for your space and climate
