See Me, For Me: Delilah

Delilah is a participant in the Richmond-Burton Transition Program at Main Stay, and has been coming to the farm since 2021!

For the past eight years, the Richmond-Burton Transition Program has partnered with Main Stay to provide students with hands-on job training experiences that help prepare them for adult life. Under the supervision of job coach Mrs. Lisa Moore, students practice important work skills like responsibility, time management, and communication, all while gaining confidence, independence, and real-world experience.

One of those students is Delilah, who began coming to Main Stay in 2021. During her visits, she looks forward to helping with all kinds of daily tasks around the farm, from cleaning and watering to laundry and more!

Delilah shared that she enjoys helping others, which is easy to see through her kind and thoughtful nature. If she could travel anywhere in the world, Delilah would choose Virginia to visit her Aunt Patti, who has medical needs. And if she could have any superpower, she would love to fly, which is fitting for someone who enjoys helping others and is always aiming high.
