Main Stay Therapeutic Farm Receives $20,000 Mission Grant From The Community Foundation For McHenry County
RICHMOND, IL – January 19, 2023 –Main Stay Therapeutic Farm is pleased to announce it has received a $20,000 Mission Grant from The Community Foundation for McHenry County. This grant will help support Main Stay’s ability to meet the various growing needs of the community, while keeping services as affordable as possible. Program fees are nominal and cover less than 20% of Main Stay’s operating expenses.
Main Stay provides services to wide variety of individuals, agencies and schools. Loriann Dowell, Main Stay’s Executive Director explains, “Main Stay has a long 35-year history of providing high-quality individualized equine and animal-assisted services. Main Stay’s programs have an immediate and lasting impact on those we serve. Our clients rely on our programs to help them to function in their daily lives. We are grateful to The Community Foundation for McHenry County for their support which will help us to continue to keep our services affordable and attainable to those who need them most.”
Main Stay’s mission is to enrich mind, body and spirit through powerful connections with horses, animals and nature. The organization accomplishes its mission through its core programs, Adaptive Riding and Horsemanship and Animal Assisted Learning. Main Stay’s holistic farm setting and accepting environment makes an ideal place for individuals to reach their fullest potential.
