Saddle Up
Main Stay's Saddle Up Program is designed for active adults (55 years+) looking for shorter term riding options.
Sessions are set based on interest and schedule availability. Each session is 4-6 weeks in length for groups of 3-4 participants who spend time with their horse learning horsemanship and riding skills. The 1.5 hourly sessions include learning to groom (brush) your horse and riding in our enclosed indoor and beautiful outdoor riding arenas. Each client receives individualized support from a PATH Intl. certified instructor and trained volunteers. Registration paperwork must be completed prior to the first session.
Riding benefits the body, mind and spirit improving strength and balance and enhancing cognitive skills such as learning new tasks and following instructions. Connecting with the horses and others provides an opportunity for learning in a safe and beautiful natural setting.
